Discovering the Power of Goal Setting: A Transformational Journey
As I sit down to reflect on my 10-year journey with The Strategic Coach, a game-changing program that has transformed my business and personal life, I am filled with excitement and gratitude. I want to share this powerful story with you, a reminder of the impact that setting and consistently revisiting goals can have on one’s life and business.
G.O.A.L.S. – Getting Out of Average to Loving Success
Before we dive into my story, let’s establish some context. I’m the founder of Good Financial Cents, a successful personal finance blog, and the CEO of my financial planning practice, Alliance Wealth Management. My wife, Mandy, and I also co-founded the online business, Dollars and Roses, dedicated to helping couples achieve financial success. It’s been an incredible journey so far.
My Goal Setting Transformation
About 10 years ago, I took the leap and joined The Strategic Coach, a program dedicated to helping entrepreneurs like myself achieve exponential growth. That one decision has been instrumental in changing my approach to entrepreneurship. Setting regular goals has become a crucial aspect of my success, and I’m eager to share my journey with you.
How Consistent Goal Setting Changed Everything
In the early stages of my entrepreneurial journey, I realized that setting goals was a valuable habit. I started writing them down every year, but I soon noticed a concerning trend – I would barely revisit them, let alone achieve the results I had set out for. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I knew I had to adjust my approach.
That’s when I started my coaching program, which not only helped me set goals but also created a framework for consistently reviewing and refining them. This newfound discipline revolutionized my business and personal life. It became a habit to celebrate victories, refocus on goals, and adapt dynamically to changes.
The Benefits
So, what did setting goals mean for me? Well, the benefits were substantial:
- Business Revenue: My revenue increased almost 100%, from a decent level to a more substantial one.
- Focusing on Passions: I learned to delegate tasks and focus on the aspects of my business that I truly loved.
- Structural Efficiency: I implemented systems and processes, allowing my team to take care of specific tasks, freeing me up to work on strategic initiatives.
